LONG BEACH CELEBRATES
The Fourth of July
The Questing Heirs Genealogical Society of Long Beach wishes you a happy Independence Day.
RESEARCH TIP: Read old newspaper articles to find out how your ancestors celebrated the Fourth of July. During the 1930s in our city, it was common for people to spend their holiday at the beach. Fireworks were shot off over Rainbow Pier in the evening, and many families picnicked in Bixby Park.
